Communion Class

4 Tuesdays May 1-22
Room 261

In 2018, the class will be held on 4 Tuesdays; May 1, 8, 15 and 22 at 4:30-5:30 in Room 261 (Elementary Sunday School room). Contact Tracy Defina at  for more information.

All children who would like to receive further instruction on communion are welcome to participate in our children’s Communion Class.  It is best if your child is able to read, so we generally have 1st graders and older registered. This is a fantastic opportunity for your child to understand and explore all the facets of the sacrament of Holy Communion.

Ben Capps will discuss the reason we partake in this tradition, how our worship is set up and why, what it truly means to receive the Body and the Bread, and develop a deeper understanding of what it means to be part of this church community.

We will take the children into the church and teach them the order of the worship service, and why it is set up the way that it is. We will allow children to handle the vessels, and taste the elements, as well as hear the vocabulary associated with this sacrament.

Communion Sunday will be June 3.
