Lenten Program

5 Tuesdays 6:30-8:30pm Mar 3-31
Walton Hall

This five-week series will take a close look at Lent, how it developed, and its function in the life of the church and its calendar. Most sessions will coordinate with that week’s Scripture readings and sermon. In addition to Lent in the Christian tradition, topics will include penance, giving, fasting, prayer, and service. All sessions will include recommended readings and time for discussion and/or Q&A. All are welcome.

Dr. Jonathan Yates is a Professor of Historical Theology in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at Villanova University, where he has taught since 2005. Jonathan, his wife Bess, and their daughter Eliza have been part of the Good Sam community since 2015.
