The Philadelphia Project
Contact for The Philadelphia Project Jonathan Hobbs reports:
"Things are going very well at The Philadelphia Project (TPP). Last year there were financial challenges (as there were with many non-profits we’ve heard from). But, we were able to end the year in the black and are now working hard to help ensure better financial security. As part of ensuring our financial future, TPP is hiring a Development Officer - so if you know anyone that might be interested in that position, please have them contact us!
The plans for our Wakefield property are also moving forward. There will need to be a large fundraising effort – or many efforts - to bring this project to its completion; but, we’re very happy with how with things are moving along. The Day School and after School programs continue to grow and do well. The Blitz weekends have all gone very well so far this year. We have also just started our season of “week-long” groups (college spring retreat trips and then leading into the summer). It is looking like we will have our largest summer ever and we’re very excited about what God is going to do over the next few months."
- We ask for prayers for the groups coming to us this season (including from Good Sam!) and for our incoming interns.
- We also ask for prayer as we continue to hire new staff: Along with the development officer, we are also looking to hire a new director of the after-school programs; with the possibility that our director of interns and programming may move away after this coming summer we may need prayers as we fill that position.
- We are also looking to expand our Board of Directors and ask for prayers about who would be a great fit for that particular type of service. Above all, we ask that you pray that every person that comes through our doors is able to experience the love and care of Christ Jesus.
