Amnion Reps Visit Good Sam Oct 7

Amnion was established in 1983 as a Christian non-profit and has been serving the area for more than 30 years. Located in nearby Drexel Hill, the center offers love, hope, friendship, information, practical help, free services, material resources and referrals for women and men facing unplanned, untimely, or unwanted pregnancies. For many of those years, Good Samaritan has supported the work of this important ministry.

Each year Amnion conducts a Baby Bottle Campaign fundraiser at Good Samaritan (similar to the campaign earlier this year supporting YoungLives). This year, they are kicking off that campaign by visiting our church, Sunday, October 7. They will be at both the 9:00 and 11:00 services and will have a table in the atrium before and after services. Please stop by to pick up a baby bottle and learn more about this important ministry. They will also give a presentation between services in the office area upstairs.

Amnion also has volunteer opportunities for various aspects of their work. You can hear more about these opportunities at the presentation given in the office area between services. For many years, Pricie Hanna has served as the church’s advocate for Amnion, but has recently stepped down from that role. The missions committee likes to have a local advocate (a contact between the church and the ministry) for each supported ministry. If anyone, by learning more about Amnion, might be interested in serving as an advocate, please contact Keith Dodd, Missions Committee Chair or anyone on the missions committee.

Learn more about Amnion at their website, and on their Facebook page.
