Baby Bottle Campaign Raises Over $900
The Amnion Pregnancy Center in Drexel Hill is a Christian ministry working to encourage women, men, and families in our area to choose life when confronted with unintended pregnancy, to provide hope and healing to those suffering from past abortions, and to encourage adolescents to form healthy relationships by saving sexual intimacy for marriage. For many years, Good Samaritan has provided financial support to Amnion through its missions budget. Amnion is one of our supported ministries in 2020.
In addition to support from Good Sam, a few individuals also provide support to Amnion; each fall the ministry conducts a Baby Bottle fundraising campaign at Good Sam. (Amnion's campaign is one of two Baby Bottle fundraises; YoungLives conducts a similar campaign usually kicking off on Mother's Day.) Shelby Smith, who represented Amnion at Good Sam in the fall, reported that the Good Samaritan campaign raised $906.34. We are one of several churches participating in this campaign, which is nearing its goal of $14,000 through these campaigns.
Shelby also sent a letter to Richard Morgan thanking us for the special contribution and our church's ongoing support of Amnion. She also indicates a few ways this money is being used. Read her letter.
