Christmas Tree Sale Begins Sunday, November 26

A long-standing tradition at Good Samaritan is the annual Christmas Tree sale. The sale runs weekends, this year beginning on Sunday, November 26 (Sunday after Thanksgiving) through December 17. All weekend sales, other than the first weekend, are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Many people in our area keep an eye on the west end of the parking lot, along Cedar Hollow Road, to see when the Good Samaritan trees arrive!

All funds raised through the sales go to our HELPS ministry and other emergency assistance programs. Such programs provide short-term financial assistance to help people with needs such as utility payments, rent payments, and other needs. In past years, the Christmas Tree sales raised almost $10,000 to support these important outreach programs.

Jane and Andy Balsan again are organizing the program, and especially this year they could use some help to provide program leadership. Several volunteers are needed each weekend to do the actual selling. Please consider how you can be involved. Please talk to Andy or Jane, or you can email Jane at:

Volunteering and selling trees is a wonderful way to give testimony for The Church of the Good Samaritan to the community. It’s fun, festive, a great way to meet people from the community, and just a wonderful way to serve. There’s a place for people of all ages!

  • Please pray for our upcoming Christmas Tree sale that begins the Sunday after Thanksgiving and raises much-needed funds for our HELPS and assistance outreach ministries.
  • Pray that volunteers will come forward to help lead the program, sell trees, and serve as ambassadors of Good Samaritan to our community.
