The “Great Co-Mission” Conference at Good Samaritan Coming Soon! Sept. 30!

Planned by representatives of Paoli Presbyterian and Good Samaritan, and partnering with a dozen area churches, Good Samaritan will host a major missions conference September 30: “The Great Co-Mission”. We are planning that over 20 area churches from Narberth to Downingtown will send folks to participate. Our own Andy Crouch will be the facilitator and keynote speaker for this 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. event.

NO fee and lunch provided! … BUT, PLEASE REGISTER so we know how many to plan for lunch and other details. Conference Registration

Andy Crouch will lead three general sessions:

1. Bearing the Image in Mission: The mission of the church arises out of both our original call to bring flourishing and fruitfulness to the world AND also out of God’s urgent concern for the restoration of His image in the world.

2. Restoring the Image in Mission: God’s call for justice AND worship serve as fundamental building blocks to God’s mission. Ever since Babel, the people of God have been called to restore the image in a world of false images.

3. Renewing the Form of Mission: Renewing the image of Christian Mission today requires both personal AND institutional structures.

Four breakout sessions include: “Helping Without Hurting” led by Rev. Jeff Conway of Paoli Presbyterian; “Who is My Neighbor?” led by Rev. Sturgis Poorman, Bethany Christian Services; “The Heart of Poverty” led by Rev. Jeff Moretzsohn, Church of the Good Samaritan; and “Evangelism and Social Action” facilitated by Rev. Dr. Tony Campolo, Emeritus, Eastern University.

Churches partnering with us (in addition to the hosts Good Samaritan and Paoli Presbyterian) include: First Presbyterian, West Chester; Central Baptist, Wayne; Central Presbyterian, Downingtown; Valley Forge Presbyterian, King of Prussia; St. Andrew’s, West Vincent; St. James, Downingtown; St. Paul’s, West Chester; Westminster Presbyterian, West Chester; Ardmore Presbyterian, Ardmore; Narberth Presbyterian, Narberth, and Paoli United Methodist, Paoli. Several other churches are also sending people to the conference.

See Jeff Moretzsohn, Kevin Hicks, or Keith Dodd, the Good Samaritan team for the conference’s planning for additional information.

  • Please pray that all the necessary planning details will come together to have a meaningful conference.
  • Pray for all those presenting at the conference and especially for Andy as he prepares to lead the three main sessions.

LET’S HAVE A GREAT TURN OUT FROM GOOD SAMARITAN! Register today!
