College & Young Adults
The College and Young Adult community at Church of the Good Samaritan is a vibrant and growing community of 20s and 30s that are regularly meeting in various iterations throughout the week.
It is the goal of our community to create invitational spaces where by college students and young adults have the opportunity to participate in hospitable community, engage in the church community, and be transformed by the triune God.
Calling Good Sam folks of all ages! Do you love college students? Do you have room in your heart for a new connection with a student who’s away from home? You can write a devotional for students that will be mailed monthly to them on campus and/or stay in touch with your adopted student by sending them the monthly devotional and other encouragement. To sign up to adopt a student or write a devotional, fill out this form.
College Students and young adults are regularly gathering for prayer, fellowship, and worship, and study. Wherever you find yourself in life, you’re welcome to join us for any of our gatherings. Not sure where to start? Contact Ben or Kylie. We’d love to buy you coffee and hear a bit more about your life.

We love college students!
College students are a very important part of our life and worship as a church and we encourage students to heartily participate in a large variety of ways within the church. Our weekly gathering points are on Sunday morning, Wednesday evening and in smaller prayer groups throughout the week.
Wednesday Evening - Family Dinner
Every week at 6:30pm the college ministry meets at the Old Rectory for a family dinner. All college students are welcome! Feel free to join us for dinner even if you don’t attend on a Sunday. Also, bring a friend. There will be plenty to go around. After dinner we will gather for a conversation about the intersection of life and spirituality. Our topics have been anything from art and culture to politics. Bring your questions and your doubts.
Sunday morning church is our largest gathering of college students throughout the week. Good Sam has a variety of services that you can attend. Most students attend New Chapel at 11am but we encourage students to try out different worship styles.
Hearts and Minds
Heats and Minds meets at 10am on Sundays and is a 45 minute long Sunday school class geared towards preparing our hearts and minds for worship by engaging with the scripture that will be preached in New Chapel. It is open to everyone, no matter your season of life. Hearts and Minds runs throughout the school year (Sept - May).
Every Sunday during the school year we serve a hearty lunch to anyone that wants to stick around after service. Come for the service and stick around for the meal!
Prayer Groups Starting in September
As a college ministry, we are committed to gathering regularly to pray together using the daily office found in the Book of Common Prayer. We have a few different places where this takes place. If you’re interested in occasionally joining up with a prayer group in your area email firstname.lastname@example.org
There are lots of other events and gatherings on a less regular basis. If you’d like to receive our weekly emails about the goings on within the college ministry, let Kylie know at email@example.com
College ministry at the Church of the Good Samaritan is made possible through a partnership with the Coalition for Christian Outreach. The Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO) partners with churches and organization with the goal of transforming college students to transform the world. As CCO staff, Ben and Kylie have an intentional presence at Eastern University and Immaculata University, although Good Sam is the home of college students from all kinds of different colleges and universities.
