Jonathan Hobbs became the Director of Youth Ministries at the Church of the Good Samaritan in August 2010. He has worked in professional Youth Ministry for over 18 years, including churches in New Jersey, New Mexico, South Carolina, and (of course) Pennsylvania.
He graduated from Eastern University in 2001 (Eastern College technically speaking) with a major in Youth Ministry and minor in Fine Arts. He has spoken for multiple camps and retreats around the country, and sometimes even leads worship (but only when people are desperate for a worship leader). Actually, leading worship is one of his passions and he loves leading the Good Sam New Chapel Band on occasion.
He grew up in Eagleville, PA attending Lower Providence Presbyterian Church. The youth ministry there not only brought him to Christ but also helped him to find his calling. Before finding his calling he took karate in high school because he thought it would help make him cool. He was wrong. Jonathan married his wife Carolyn just months before coming to Good Sam. Together, they have two beautiful daughters, Kaylin and Julia.
He loves golf... a lot... (kind of obsessed really). He can skillfully juggle two balls and does a halfway decent impression of Kermit the Frog.
