Food Closet

During the current Coronavirus situation, the Food Closet is continuing to operate with adjusted procedures, including having drive-through service.

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me." Matthew 25.35-36

The Food Closet Ministry provides food assistance in a pastoral setting. The desire of the ministry is to love and serve God through loving and serving others. Therefore, one of the goals is to reach out to hurting people by caring for them and their families in a holistic manner through feeding the mind, body and spirit. Partnered with this is fostering a loving and caring environment that ministers to the dear ones that we serve and serve alongside.

NOTE NEW HOURS: Providing food assistance to those experiencing food poverty on the first and third Thursday mornings (9:30-11am), and second and fourth Thursday evenings (5-7pm) of each month is the avenue that drew almost 350 hungry households into the Good Samaritan Food Closet last year.

How, one might ask, are we able to "physically" provide for so many? There is a large, multi-talented, faithful, and dedicated team of willing, prayerful hearts and helping hands that keep things flowing smoothly.

Thank you to the volunteers who tirelessly pour themselves out for the sake of the Kingdom. Come visit and be blessed. There is always room for one more.
