The Thrift Shop is open Tuesday - Friday, 10am-4pm, Saturday 10am-1pm.
The New Life Thrift Shop provides high quality merchandise while maintaining the lowest prices in the area. Customers often comment how nice the shop is and how much they enjoy shopping there. Many come every week not only to get great bargains but to chat with our volunteers. It’s more than just a ‘thrift shop’.
It takes a tremendous amount of help to run the shop, more than 50 dedicated volunteers work weekly. Some of these volunteers work tirelessly on Monday morning to sort, price, hang up & display all the new donations. The rest of the volunteers faithfully cover their weekly shifts, assisting the customers and sharing stories and a few laughs.
Our mission at the Thrift Shop is not only to raise money for Outreach Ministries but to provide low cost clothing and household goods to members of the community. In emergency situations we are able to offer these items free of charge to assist people in need. Because we are blessed with an abundance of donations, we are able to share our overflow with The Free Church of St. John in Kensington as well as with Purple Heart. In addition, we provide Christian fellowship and camaraderie for our volunteers and the satisfaction that comes from giving for our donors.
