Small Groups
Small groups offer places for people to gather on a regular basis for prayer, study, discussion, and build community together. Over time, involvement in small groups helps to develop spiritually meaningful friendships with others who are there for you when you need them, remind you of what is true, and help you grow into the kind of person you want to be.

Local & Global Missions
Good Samaritan seeks to provide opportunities for parishioners to discover and use their gifts by becoming involved in local ministries. We believe that our words and actions should reflect the truth behind the parable of the Good Samaritan, where Jesus calls His followers to show mercy to a world in need.

Good Works @ Good Sam
Looking for a way to put your faith into action, as the hands and heart of Jesus in our community? An opportunity to help transform lives by repairing homes for low-income families and sharing the hope found in Jesus Christ? A way to develop new (and strengthen old) friendships within our church and in our local community? Good Sam is a Good Works Partner Church and we provide teams to do home repairs for a local homeowner in need while building a meaningful and trusting relationship that goes beyond the workday. There are opportunities for all—high-school age and older men and women—roles include technical lead, work crew resource, and lunch team resource.

Food Closet
The mission of the Food Closet is a commitment to feeding bodies and souls through the love of Christ, with sustenance, respect, compassion, and prayer. Food distribution occurs four times per month, with special distributions for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. The food closet also gives away food from our very own community garden.
The Food Closet is also a partner agency with the Chester County Food Bank.

New Life Thrift Shop
From a humble beginning in a small space in 1975, the New Life Thrift Shop has grown out of the church basement and into a beautiful dedicated space at the church that allows 30 volunteers to serve the community here each week. The thrift shop sells items donated by parishioners and others, and funds are used in the mission of The Church of the Good Samaritan to reach families in need both locally and abroad. New Life Thrift Shop is open Tuesday through Friday 10 am – 4 pm, and Saturdays 10 am – 1 pm.

Community Garden
The purpose of Good Sam’s community garden is to grow food, knowledge, and relationships, and to bring glory to God and blessing to ourselves and others. On any given day you can see butterflies, bees, flowers, and food–come, step inside the gate and see what’s growing! If you’d like to know more about starting your own garden plot here at the church, please contact us.

HELPS Ministry
The HELPS ministry provides funding for practical, short-term relief to our neighbors who need one-time assistance to cover rent, a utility bill, car repairs, prescriptions, or other immediate needs. The ministry focuses on offering a helping hand, a listening ear, and spiritual encouragement to our neighbors in difficult seasons. During the first half of 2024, HELPS provided $32,327 in assistance.
