Administrative Support
Cheryl joins the church staff as Administrative Support with a background in both ministry and education. She brings a strong background in education, ministry, and organizational leadership to The Church of the Good Samaritan. With 16 years of experience as an educator at The Haverford School, Cheryl has a deep commitment to fostering meaningful learning experiences and student success. In addition to her work in the classroom, she also served as manager of the varsity baseball team, and she was nominated twice by the graduating senior class for Most Distinguished Teacher at The Haverford School, reflecting her commitment to service, excellence, and care for her students. Currently, Cheryl serves as a Reading Specialist and operates a successful private tutoring practice in West Chester, supporting students and families with individualized instruction and care.
Serving on the Area Sponsoring Committee for FOCUS (Fellowship of Christians in Universities and Schools), Cheryl supports and advances its mission to form student leaders and foster vibrant Christian communities on independent school campuses. Additionally, Cheryl served as the Director of Youth Ministry at St David’s Episcopal Church in Wayne, where she gained experience in supporting faith formation, parish life, and collaborative ministry. Cheryl became a Global Village Leader with Habitat for Humanity, organizing and exceeding fundraising goals while leading a team of 27 participants to Guatemala to help build three homes in partnership with the local community. Fluent in German, she brings strong communication skills and a global perspective to her work. Outside of the office, Cheryl enjoys gardening, traveling, kayaking, and cross-country skiing.
