Jack Franicevich

Director of Christian Formation (August 1, 2025)

Jack brings to this role over a decade of experience in education and formation, including teaching at both the middle school and seminary levels, writing Bible curricula for large churches across the country, and directing summer camp programs focused on spiritual maturity.

His work focuses on leading Christians into deeper engagement with the Bible, the Tradition, and the liturgy, in pursuit of Christian wisdom and the renewal of the imagination.

Jack holds graduate degrees in biblical studies from Denver Seminary and Nashotah House Theological Seminary, and is completing his dissertation at the Theologische Universiteit Apeldoorn. His research explores the ways that the liturgical vision of the Old Testament is reimagined and transformed in the New Testament. He is the author of Sunday: Keeping Christian Time (Athanasius Press, 2023) and his articles have been published in the Anglican Theological Review, The Global Anglican, and the Journal of Theological Interpretation.

Jack married Amber Bowen, who teaches philosophy at Eastern University, at Good Sam in 2024. Together they have two golden retrievers and a daughter due in January. When he’s not reading or teaching, Jack loves helping friends move, researching nonprofit tax law, and hosting dinner parties that start simple but somehow end up with three courses and a seating chart.
