Matthew Messer is Editorial Manager of Scripture Products for the American Bible Society. He received a PhD in historical theology from the University of Notre Dame and taught theology to undergraduates before joining the American Bible Society, where he is helping to bridge academic and public theology and develop paths for a deeper engagement with Scripture. His research focuses on medieval theology, especially the thought of Thomas Aquinas and the topics of Christ, grace, and the Church in his medieval contemporaries.
