Neeka was born and raised in South Portland, Maine and graduated from Eastern University in 2019 with a BA in Dance. Currently, she is a company member with Gwendolyn Bye’s Dancefusion in Philadelphia, where she enjoys reconstructing historic works by modern pioneers. Neeka has held varying operational roles in the nonprofit world and is excited to bring her experience to her church community.
During her time living in Philadelphia, she was deeply impacted by the power of living in a missional community. The rhythms of “doing life together” from last minute shared meals to intergenerational small groups was a humbling and beautiful start to a life-long pursuit of choosing community over perfection. Neeka loves serving in church and believes that “many hands make light work.” You’ll often find her chasing or being chased by Youth Group students. It’s also true that Neeka and a VBS character have never been seen together at the same time…
During her free time, Neeka enjoys hiking with her husband, Josh, eating new recipes that Josh cooks, and drinking good coffee that Josh finds for her.
